Exposure Expose'... How to get it right, even when your
camera wants to do it wrong,

which would've happened with each of the photos on this page
Serious photographers learn the skills for using the Manual settings.  They know when to use which F/stops, Shutter Speeds and ISOs.  (The rest just trust luck.)

In only four hours you will learn when to use which f/stops,
shutter speeds and ISOs - and WHY.           Guaranteed.
One wonderful way to relate to how your camera handles exposure is to think about how your EYES handle light.

Your
RETINA is like the camera's sensor... it receives the light.

Your
PUPIL is like the actual hole in the camera lens, the aperture, that light travels through to get to the RETINA.

Your
IRIS is like the mechanical part of the lens that expands or contracts to let in more or less light through the PUPIL.
A camera lens aperture, acting like the IRIS of your EYE, affects the intensity or brightness of the light that strikes the sensor in the back of your camera (where film used to be).

Your
EYELID is like your camera's shutter - it affects the length of time, or duration that the light will enter your EYE.
Likewise, the shutter in your camera determines how long the light may strike the sensor.

Together, the aperture and shutter determine the exact quantity of light that strikes the sensor.

But... they do more than merely affect exposure!

Apertures (F/Stops) and shutter speeds help us with creative things, too.  Each has a different purpose.
We'll cover those as well.

Exposure Expose' is where these are all explained clearly and step-by-step.
The next Exposure Expose', where exposure is exposed so you can see it clearly, is on
Saturday, August 28th, 2010.
We'll go from
noon to four.

Class size is limited to 5 new students for individualized attention.
