Some Frequently Asked Questions about Our Workshops...
Q: When can I expect to start seeing improvement in my photography?
A: When you start shooting your first assignment for the course. Your thought processes will become more focused about what your camera is really about to record. You will also be making more intelligent decisions before tripping the shutter. As you attend the sessions, then do the fun and challenging weekly assignments, you will be incrementally adding more understanding to your thought processes. The Photographer's Field Card for the V.A.L.i.D. Method ™, provided to all students, will help you remember the points you will learn during the instructional sessions and Feedback.

Q: Is it OK to use a recording device in class?
A: Thank you for asking, but no. You are encouraged, however, to take all the notes you want. For your benefit we provide supporting material that expands on what is taught in class.

Q: Are great photographers born that way?
A: Of course they are! (We've yet to meet one that came into the world another way.)  Yes, some people are indeed born with a natural talent to take great photos consistently. But that same skill can be learned and you don't need to compare yourself to anyone else. Through the Feedback sessions of this workshop your efforts and progress are compared to no one else's.

Q: I'm a person who thrives on competition and since this workshop doesn't get involved that way, how can that need be met?
A: For the
amateur, camera clubs will provide a fun and stimulating outlet. For the professional, you have local, state, regional and national organizations. They have regular juried competitions as well as nationally known expert speakers.
