Yes, it really happened. A bride blacked-out during her wedding ceremony. The cause: Low blood sugar.
This is one of those photos that really supports the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words. The unfortunate, lovely young lady had rushed all day long, but didn’t pause to eat or drink.
Recipe for a Wedding Day Disaster: Take the stress of a wedding, add an unhealthy dose of no nourishment and serve it over a frantic pace.
Some people absolutely must have nourishment more often than others.
The Maid (or Matron) of Honor, by the way, has the responsibility of looking out for the bride's welfare that day.
If your wedding or preparation times will cover a mealtime, or if there will be too much time between meals, and even though there will be food at the reception, have someone put out finger foods in the dressing areas. No junk or fast foods. No soft drinks. Serve sandwiches, fruits and veggies with dip. Water and/or teas only.
Your thoughtfulness will be greatly appreciated!
